Chapter 1's Location

Located on the corner of The Esplanade, ST. Thomas Street and Westham Road between Londis and Nantes Solicitors. Our door is open and adorned by two spiral cedar trees, 1 Large Chapter 1 sign, 1 small Chapter 1 sign and the Union Jack Flag is flying. We are, Chapter 1, Number 68 The Esplanade, on the Beach Front, Weymouth, DT4 7AA.

Car Parking Directions- Off Site

Chapter 1 is right on the Famous Beachfront of Weymouth and has no onsite car parking.
There is a loading bay on Westham Road opposite Londis where you can park and drop your luggage and receive personal car parking directions.
Our recommendations which are a short walk from Chapter 1 (about 6 minutes) are the Railway Station Car Park and The Royal Yard Car Park which are the closest to Chapter 1. The below link will show directions and information on these and other car parks in Weymouth.

Car from London

About a Two and a half hour average drive. Take the M4 south to Heathrow airport on the M25. Head south and join the M3 at junction 12 towards Southampton. At Junction 13 of The M3 exit towards Southampton docks and Bournemouth. Merge on to the M27 and join the A31. Leave the A31 for Dorchester on the A35. Leave the A35 for signs towards Weymouth on the A354. Proceed towards the Esplanade on the BeachFront and we are on the opposite side of the sea, number 68 The Esplanade with the black door and Brass Lions Head. Train from London

The average travelling time by train is two hours and thirty minutes. Paddington and Waterloo are the main stations with a change at Bournemouth. Exit the station and turn left in about twenty five yards turn left onto Ranelagh Street. At the end of Ranelagh Street you will see the beautiful Blue flag beach of Weymouth. Turn right onto the Esplanade and we are on the right hand side number 68. Car From Birmingham

Take the A38 and join the A38(M) /M6/M42/M40 towards Coventry / Wolverhampton. At junction 6 exit towards M5 SE. Merge onto the M6 and at junction 8 join the M5 south. Stay on the M5 and exit at junction 25 Taunton. Follow the A358 towards Yeovil and the A37 to Weymouth. Follow signs for Weymouth. Proceed towards the Esplanade on the Beach Front and we are on the opposite side of the sea, number 68 The Esplanade with the black door and Brass Lions Head. From Birmingham New Street where there is one change at Bristol Temple Meads and then take the Weymouth train. Exit the station and turn left in about twenty five yards turn left onto Ranelagh Street. At the end of Ranelagh Street you will see the beautiful Blue flag beach of Weymouth. Car From Cardiff

Total average travelling time two hours and thirty seven minutes. Take the M48 towards the M4 and at junction 22 take the M49 towards Avon-mouth. At junction 18 join the M5 south. Stay on the M5 and exit at junction 25 Taunton. Follow the A358 towards Yeovil and the A37 to Weymouth. Follow signs for Weymouth. Train from Cardiff

Average travelling time three hours and forty minutes. Leave from Cardiff Central and change at Bath Spa before oining the Weymouth train. Once you have arrived at weymouth you have a beautiful beach fron walk to your Boutique hotel of about seven minutes. Exit the station and turn left in about twenty five yards turn left onto Ranelagh Street. At the end of Ranelagh Street you will see the beautiful Blue flag beach of Weymouth. Accessibility

Access to Chapter One on arrival is by seven steps and then a further two on entry to the building.
The hotel is a Grade Two Listed Building spreading over eight floors with no lift and multiple stairs to the various floors which do provide handrails on the main staircase.
All showers are stepped and some also have a further step.
All corridor lighting is operated by sensor lighting which ensures the corridors are brightly lit at all times.
For guests that are less mobile the hotel does have rooms on the second floor that consist of king and super-king rooms. The library where danish, coffee and tea are served in the morning is situated on the first floor.
